Israel today still does not have her soldiers back. One thing they were desperate to do. They were going to clean out this terrorist group. Now they are more entrenched than ever. Israel is back to square one, but this time the stakes are even higher.

Israel will now face a more determined enemy. Missiles will continue to fall. This time they will come from Lebanon and Syria both, with the possible addition of Iran. Resistence will also come from Gaza. Because the leadership of Israel has been so consistent in giving land for peace, they have nowhere to run. Because they are now weak, they are facing destruction as never before. Add to this the fact that the Bush administration has pushed them into various actions and this leaves the tiny nation with only a few actual friends. One is the conservative Christian who loves Israel and her people. The other is the Lord Himself, who will protect Israel in the end when all nations forsake her.

The next battle for Israel could be the big one. With our nation embroiled in Iraq and Afghanistan we dont have much left to fight other foes.
